In year 3050, which is quite a long time from now there will be an asteroid approaching are solar system. Many have predicted this will take millions of years so I would not worry you will not witness this. This is not any of this end of the world rubbish but half the planet will be damaged it will push through the earth’s barrier. I would not worry about it journalists look into this discovery well it is 137 years from now. We will look more into the story and we have just discovery about the asteroid it is 65000 miles away from earth and was supposed to be 900000 miles away.

Great imagination and I like the when opener at the start.
When I first read your 100WC, it sounded very much like there was nothing to worry about Liam; there are often stories like this in the newspapers aren’t there? But then you changed direction and the latest updates sound a lot more worrying! (Did you know that if an asteroid was 65000 miles away, it would be closer than our Moon? Oooerrr!)
What do you think we should do if we ever learn something like this might happen?

Hi Liam – well done with this entry for the 100WC. I really like how it starts off as being nothing to worry about but by the end you are beginning to make the reader panic more as it seems to be approaching quicker than was first thought. Great writing 🙂
